What You’ll Do

You will support daily import and export compliance activities to ensure MPP Aftermarket meets all U.S. and international trade regulations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinate daily with customs brokers to ensure accurate and timely declaration of import entry data, including valuation, classification, trade program eligibility, and adherence to all U.S. government regulations.
  • Support the determination and maintenance of customs tariff codes (e.g. HS Codes, TARIC, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)) classifications for aftermarket components across multiple product lines.
  • Review product technical specifications and apply the General Rules of Interpretation (GRI) of the Harmonized Schedule (HS) in order to assign correct customs tariff codes to materials
  • Maintain and update internal classification databases and systems to ensure accuracy for customs clearance and compliance reporting.
  • Participate in cost‑saving initiatives, duty‑reduction strategies, and broader compliance‑related process improvements aligned with MPP Aftermarket’s strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including procurement, engineering, logistics, and product management—to build awareness of trade compliance requirements, ensure accurate tariff classifications and strengthen cross‑functional partnerships.
  • Assist with documentation reviews, recordkeeping, and audit readiness to support internal and external compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, international business, or a related field preferred (not required with relevant experience).
  • Prior supply chain, logistics, material data management, trade compliance experience or internship.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and advance multiple initiatives.
  • Demonstrated work ethic, initiative, sound decision‑making, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially advanced Excel.
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) preferred, or willingness to obtain within two years.
