MPP Global data use, user rights & sharing under EU Data Act

EU Data Act user information

The EU Data Act (Regulation (EU) 2023/2854) is designed to ensure fair access to and use of data generated by connected products and related services placed on the EU market. Certain MPP GLOBAL equipment and services generate and send data regarding their use and environment, and MPP GLOBAL uses this data to support and benefit customers in maintaining, repairing and optimizing your products and to be able to offer better solutions and services to you.

When acting as manufacturer and data holder, the EU Data Act obligates MPP GLOBAL to enter into an agreement with you as the user of our connected products and related services. The MPP GLOBAL EU Data Access and Use Agreement applies to data generated by our connected products and related services as of 12 September 2025, and it sets out the purposes for which MPP GLOBAL uses the data, how the user can use and access the data, as well as other related rights and responsibilities.

VIEW MPP GLOBAL EU DATA ACCESS AND USE AGREEMENT

The MPP GLOBAL EU Data Access and Use Agreement is a mandatory agreement under the EU Data Act, and as of 12 September 2025, your continued use of the MPP GLOBAL connected products and related services will be deemed as your acceptance of the MPP GLOBAL EU Data Access and Use Agreement relating to those products and services.

Data-based functionalities of MPP GLOBAL connected products are provided on the basis that data from the devices is collected and utilized by MPP GLOBAL. Please note that if data collection and transmission is disabled, all data-based services, functionalities and features of the connected products will be disabled, and you will not be able to benefit from the valuable insights and support these offerings enable. The basic, non-data-based functionalities of your product will not be affected.

DATA ACCESS

Under the EU Data Act, users in the European Union can request access to data generated by their connected products as of 12 September 2025. Provided that data collection and transmission in your connected MPP GLOBAL product is enabled, as user in the European Union you can request data from MPP GLOBAL by contacting your local distributor or directly through data.requests@mpp-global.com. When making such requests, you will need to validate your authority to request data, identify the product with serial number, and specify the data in question, and MPP GLOBAL may also provide you with further instructions. You will be notified by email when your data is available.

The data holder, where applicable, for MPP GLOBAL’s connected products and related services in the EU is Tedd Engineering Limited, Business ID 02640083, registered address Unit 1 Tupton Way, Holmewood Industrial Park, Chesterfield, England, S42 5BX. In the event you as a user in the EU are aware of an infringement of Chapter II of the EU Data Act, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the local competent authority.
